Nordic Conference of Mental Health Nursing: Call for Papers and Conference

The Organizing Committee of the Nordic Conference of Mental Health Nursing has published its first Call for Papers. Further details are available at the website of the Finnish Nursing Association www.nurses.fi

The main theme of the Conference is The Role of Nursing in the Process of Recovery: Global Perspectives. The Conference will be held in the beautiful city of Helsinki on 8-10th September, 2010. It is expected that nurses from all over the world will participate, further emphasizing the critical role that nursing plays in the development of 'recovery-focused' mental health care. This is the opportunity you have been looking for, to present your work on a world stage, and share exciting developments with like-minded colleagues from around the world.

One very important feature of this Conference is that it will be organized and funded entirely by nurses. The Conference will receive NO FUNDING from pharmaceutical companies, which means that it will be wholly independent; something which you will agree is very important for the professional and academic development of nursing in the contemporary world.

24th Annual Children's Mental Health Research and Policy Conference
to be held in Tampa, FL March 20 - 23, 2011

The conference features a wide array of symposia, papers and poster presentations from an international field of scholars, educators, policy makers and families who are integrally involved in shaping the children's mental health field in America. Last year's conference hosted more than 550 attendees.

Profiled on 60 Minutes, the 2011 keynote speaker Geoffrey Canada has achieved great success as President and CEO of the Harlem Children's Zone, an agency that fuses community building with academic achievement to improve the futures of inner city youth.

The online proposal submission process will open on August 15, 2010.
